Protecting Forests & Communities from Wildfire Risk

Protection of citizens, communities, forest resources and other natural resources from the negative effects of wildfires occurring on the lands of NC is of utmost importance. The purpose of the wildfire assessment group is to utilize partnerships with cooperating and assisting agencies to identify and mitigate the hazards, risks, and effects from wildfire and educate the public to ensure their safety, while protecting and enhancing our forest resources.
