Threats to Forest Health
Healthy forest landscapes have a capacity to renew and recover from a wide range of disturbances. Maintaining forest health from insects, disease, storms, invasive plant and animal species, air pollution, and climate change threats is vital if the diversity, productivity, and benefits of North Carolina's forests are to be sustained.
